Overview

Spray Foam Insulation in Central Texas

Spray foam expands to fill every crack, gap and seam it touches. That means it stops the hot, humid air that leaks into a Texas home in summer, not just the heat that radiates through it. For homes with ductwork and an AC unit in the attic, spraying the roofline can bring attic temperatures down dramatically and take a real load off the system.

We install both open-cell and closed-cell foam and will tell you honestly which one your project needs, or whether a less expensive option like blown-in would do the job just as well.

Why choose it

Benefits of spray foam.

Air seals as it insulates

Foam closes the gaps around plumbing, wiring, top plates and rim joists that let conditioned air escape.

Highest R-value per inch

Closed-cell foam delivers about R-6 to R-7 per inch, more than any other material we install.

Cooler attic ductwork

Spraying the roofline brings your attic, and the ducts and air handler in it, much closer to living-space temperature.

Adds strength and blocks moisture

Closed-cell foam is rigid and acts as a vapor retarder, ideal for metal buildings and under homes.

FAQ

Spray Foam questions.

Have a different question? Call (979) 242-3976.

Is spray foam worth it in Central Texas?

For many homes, yes, especially when the AC unit and ductwork sit in the attic. Sealing the roofline keeps that equipment out of 140°F air. For a simple attic floor with no equipment, blown-in insulation is often the better value, and we’ll tell you so.

Yes, for a short time. Spray foam needs time to cure and ventilate. We’ll tell you exactly how long to stay out based on the product we use, typically about a day.

Yes. Closed-cell foam sprayed to the underside of the floor stops cold drafts in winter and humid air in summer, and it won’t sag or fall down like batts can.

Not when it’s installed correctly. We choose open- or closed-cell based on where it’s going and make sure attics and HVAC are set up properly for a sealed space.
